Büro in einem verlassenen Hotel in Deutschland.

  • zertifiziert mit Hologrammseriennummer auf der Rückseite
Manchmal kann an sich nicht zwischen mehreren Motiven entscheiden und manche Bilder wirken auch im Kleinformat besser als riesengroß. Und den Platz um viele Bilder oder Serien im Großformat zu zeigen hat auch kaum jemand – Vor allem ich selber auf Ausstellungen und Messen nicht. Aus dieser Überlegung heraus entstanden die “Vintage Tiles”. Weil ich aber keine Forex Platten in einen Holz Optik Plastikrahmen pressen lassen wollte, hat es wieder mal 2 Jahre gedauert bis Konzept, Materialauswahl und meine handwerklichen Fertigkeiten soweit waren die “Vintage Tiles” in Eigenproduktion und in großen Stückzahlen zu machen. Für jedes auf Alu Dibond gedruckte Motiv, wird zuerst ein passendes Stück verwittertes Altholz gewählt. Bei der Fertigung des Rahmens ist dann besonderes Feingefühl gefragt, da die Oberfläche die oft brüchig, voll abblätternder Farbe oder von Flechten bewachsen ist so gut wie möglich erhalten bleiben soll. Manchmal setze ich auch zuvor entnommene rostige Schrauben oder Nägel wieder ein. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail entstehen so einzigartige Stücke.
